Right before I moved to London, I googled "David Lynch London" and found the Double R Club, a monthly cabaret of alternating performers that are directly (or indirectly) inspired by the big man. I went along and fell in love with its atmosphere, humour, inventiveness, and the dreams and nightmares of its host, Benjamin Louche. I've brought almost everyone I know to see it over the last 6 years, and it's genuinely been one of my favourite parts about living in London.

This pin aims to capture the opening of the show where every month Ben, in the style of the Blue Velvet character he references, lip syncs a different song into a light-up microphone.

Since beginning in 2009, the Double R has been the winner of Best Host and twice winner of Best Ongoing Production at the London Cabaret Awards. You have to see it to believe it - every third Thursday at the Walthamstow Trade Hall.
